Their Climate Action Challenge Experience
What did you accomplish?
We educated and empowered young people to develop the habit of growing trees and production of seeds for profits. We started building our own website where our activities can be easily traced and enhance our level of communication with the entire world.
We have a strong existing structure all over the nation and in the diaspora, we have a national Secretariat with office branches across the states. We are in almost all social media outlets, such as Meta, Instagram, and Twitter. Other communication media include WhatsApp platforms, Telegram, and YouTube channels.
We encountered many challenges, especially financial factors. When we were going to embark on a project the most damning issue is that how could we raise a fund. To execute the project, there was a time when we almost give up on these things but we just manage to continue.
Actions Taken:
Carried out orientation in more than 15 schools
Engaged in over 10 grassroots mobilizations, mass media campaigns, and massive tree-planting exercises across the nation.
Next Steps:
We're planning to have a milestone nationwide tree plantations and environmental sanitation exercises in just the nearest future. We are also working on fundraising campaigns, developing partnerships, and increasing donations and/or grants.
Advice:
"Be dedicated, Be focused! They need our sacrifices."
