Joan Gregerson
Joan is the founder and returning director of Green Team Academy. She is excited to be working with eco-advocates from around the world. Joan brings expertise in community weaving, writing, podcasting, teaching, coaching, building energy engineering, and consulting.
She is an avid eco-nut and admirer of all those who are working to care for Mother Earth and each other.

Gin DeMaio
Gin became the director of Green Team Academy in December of 2021. With a background in renewable energy and expertise in business development, Gin is excited and honored to lead the organization in the next phase. Gin brings her passion for the planet and visionary leadership to further the goal of empowering everyday people to #BeTheChange!

Nan Holda
Combining her experience in marketing & engagement with her love of the Climate Action Challenge, Nan has been active with the Green Team Academy since 2020. Living in Champaign, Illinois, USA, she has a B.S. in Horticulture and works as a Research Coordinator for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and an advisor for the University of Illinois Chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science. An eco-warrior for four decades, Nan is a trained Climate Reality Leader, heads her church’s green team, and is a member of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and the Sierra Club Prairie Group.

Christopher Tumusiime
Christopher Marvin Tumusiime, aka Chris, is a young forester and environmentalist who is passionate about the environment and people. He deals with climate mitigation and adaptation in order to create climate resilience. He is the founder of Trinity Forestry Services, a social enterprise based in Uganda, that provide solutions to the environmental, economic, and social well-being of the area. He serves on a number of youth organization boards locally and internationally and has carried out a number of projects, some of which are still running, such as Urban Farming in slums, reforestation using agroforestry, renewable energy promotion, and plant propagation and management, forest inventory and carbon assessment. He strives to help create a societal and environmental transformation for the good of nature and people at large.
