Impact Highlights

During the 90-day challenge, the Kaunti Farm team worked on their project of converting a former dumping area in the middle of a busy highway into an urban farm:

  • Registered the Kaunti Urban Farmers Association of 21 families in October 2021.

  • Planted 150 fruit trees including papaya, mulberry, tamarind, mango, mulberry, annatto.

  • Trained over 100 people on how to build solar lamps, on tree planting, and on making Eco-bricks.

  • Began building perimeter wall of Eco-bricks.

In the middle of busy highway Under a footbridge ia an island made into an urban farm hello to all of you ka urban we have a new things today here we have cosmos so if possible that we can integrate bee keeping here we are ready we also have new crops this is called madre de agua the moringa that we planted last time has develop new sprout already we also have citronella and the growth of this moringa are good this is the fruit of naga pepper came from bicol the plants are so lush green we also have mulberry and don’t forget our native plant papaya we also have improvised rain catcher here we just folded the end side of this tent so when it rains it catches rain water our five-leaved chadte tree is growing very well to those who use this as herbal supplement just visit us here in Kaunti and i will give you some
