Joan Gregerson
Joan is the founder and returning director of Green Team Academy. She is excited to be working with eco-advocates from around the world. Joan brings expertise in community weaving, writing, podcasting, teaching, coaching, building energy engineering, and consulting.

She is an avid eco-nut and admirer of all those who are working to care for Mother Earth and each other.

Gin DeMaio
​Gin became the director of Green Team Academy in December of 2021. With a background in renewable energy and expertise in business development, Gin is excited and honored to lead the organization in the next phase. Gin brings her passion for the planet and visionary leadership to further the goal of empowering everyday people to #BeTheChange!
UX Designer/Board Member
Amber-Lei Madriaga
Amber-Lei is from Maui and has always lived the Malama da Aina way (to take care and protect the land). She graduated with her B.S. in North Carolina then obtained her UX/UI design certification in Denver. She got involved with Green Team Academy because she truly believes in its mission and vision, and is working to help the organization enhance its digital experience.
International Development
Darwin Mawele
Darwin is the founder of Earth Guardians Zambia and Team Lead for Stop Ecocide Zambia. He is a trained Climate Reality Leader and Alumni of International Exchange Alumni for The United States Government. He is a 2020 International Climate Action Challenger and Eco-Champion Award Winner.
Project Planner/Board Member
Katelyn Do
Katelyn is from the San Francisco Bay Area. For as long as she could remember, she has had a deep respect for the earth, and its incredible biodiversity. She loves to travel and experience the beauty of her home state: the wondrous calling of the mountains, the mighty power of the Pacific Ocean, and the solitude of the desert. She devotes her time to passion projects that serve children in poverty, advocate for climate action, and community engagement. She believes that the mission of Green Team Academy is urgently needed, especially now, to encourage and empower individuals, and organizations across the globe to protect our planet and address the climate crisis.
International Development/Board Member
Christopher Tumusiime
Christopher Marvin Tumusiime, aka Chris, is a young forester and environmentalist who is passionate about the environment and people. He deals with climate mitigation and adaptation in order to create climate resilience. He is the founder of Trinity Forestry Services, a social enterprise based in Uganda, that provide solutions to the environmental, economic, and social well-being of the area. He serves on a number of youth organization boards locally and internationally and has carried out a number of projects, some of which are still running, such as Urban Farming in slums, reforestation using agroforestry, renewable energy promotion, and plant propagation and management, forest inventory and carbon assessment. He strives to help create a societal and environmental transformation for the good of nature and people at large.
Logistics and Content Support
Suzie Lucken
Suzie is a program and project manager with a background in digital marketing. She is concerned that much of the environmental activism and advocacy work is having to be done by the younger generations, and hopes people of all ages will engage where they can to help the climate crisis. Suzie believes the grassroots approach Green Team Academy takes in encouraging everyone to #BeTheChange they want to see in the world is vital to protecting our planet.
